We are very happy to announce that WAZP has joined the Polyline Project. The project brings together a consortium of world-class industrial and research partners including WAZP, BMW, and Grenzebach. The project aims to create a next-generation digitalized production line which will be used to produce plastic parts for the automotive industry. The project commenced in 2020 and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to the total of 10.7 million euros.

The partners aim to complement existing techniques with Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing). This novel approach will encompass a holistic view that implements all required processes both conventional and new into this digitalized production line. Founder and COO of WAZP Mariana Kobal had this to say about the project,

"We are very excited to join the Polyline Project. Since our foundation, WAZP has focused on transforming additive manufacturing into a commercially viable option for distributed volume production and this is a great opportunity to explore innovative solutions in automation, digitalization and efficiency of additive manufacturing with the industry’s leaders.

As an Associate Partner, WAZP will bring in-depth knowledge on the capabilities of Additive Manufacturing in a volume production setting, first-hand consumer insights, and Design & Engineering know-how. All partners are working on defined work packages to achieve the overall objective to bringing this digitalized production line for the production of plastic parts into reality and commercial use.
