WAZP is excited to announce they have become a member of the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster South-West (CBCSW). The CBCSW, is a new first-of-a-kind regional bioeconomy cluster in Ireland. It has been launched by Munster Technological University (MTU) in 2021 for enterprises, researchers, industry, and government to demonstrate their ingenuity and work together to build the economy of the future. The CBCSW is led by Catriona Power, Education & Outreach Manager.

The cluster’s focus is on marine, agriculture, and waste-to-value thematic areas, with a goal to develop and promote the circular bioeconomy in the South-West region. The cluster brings together industry, enterprises, government, and research centres to deliver unique and co-created initiatives to benefit member companies. The cluster supports members with research, project development, project partner identification, talent and skills, market connections, and funding.

WAZP’s Global Head of Marketing, Maria Panuli, had this to say,

"Circular economy and manufacturing are hot topics in today’s environment. Sustainability and circularity have been knitted into WAZP’s operations from day one, therefore we are delighted to have the opportunity to work together with like-minded enterprises and institutions within the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster. We are looking forward to collaboratively overcoming challenges and achieving goals for our companies and Ireland.“
